On March 3rd, 2017, Franky – Tata International Joint Venture and PVTrans signed a deal to nominate the latter as the logistics service provider of transshipment of one million tons of coal for Duyen Hai 3 Thermal Power Plant. The decision was made as a result of a competitive bid for a local service provider to perform the job on a tight schedule of 4 months commencing April, 2017 in a difficult marine conditions of the Mekong river delta. Franky – Tata International Joint Venture acts as the coal provider the Duyen Hai 3 Power Plant.
PVTrans’ logistics plan for the job is based on a proposed transshipment area including Go Gia, Thieng Lieng, Soai Rap or Song Hau River mouth.
