PVTRANS OFS responds to the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene in 2023

In May 2023, the Board of Directors of the Oil and Gas Maritime Services Company coordinated with the Safety and Quality Department, the Company’s Trade Union, the Company’s Youth Union and relevant departments to organize the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Hygiene (OSH) and Workers’ Month. The Action Month on OSH in 2023 has the theme: “Strictly implement rules, regulations, and solutions to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace”; The Workers’ Month in 2023 has the theme: “Connecting workers, building organizations”.

Specifically, in May 2023, PVTrans OFS hung propaganda banners on the FSO PVN Dai Hung Queen (DHQ), the O&M SV CPP project and at the Company’s office to launch and convey the message of the OSH action month.

In addition, PVTrans OFS launched and implemented a safety campaign with the theme “Preventing eye injuries” on the DHQ vessel, detecting and overcoming many hazards related to eye injuries during the campaign. The campaign received enthusiastic response from the entire crew, raising awareness of the crew and providing an opportunity to review the system on the DHQ vessel to ensure the safety of production operations on board.

Continuing the activities of the month, PVTrans OFS organized the work to ensure absolute safety in production during the holidays of April 30 and International Labor Day on May 1. In addition, PVTrans OFS also continued to comply with daily safety meetings, safety meetings before starting work and complied with the work permit application process – PTW issued by the Company.

As well as organizing safety inspections to assess occupational safety and health risks in the workplace and propose control measures, improve working conditions, and discuss to raise awareness of workers.

In addition, PVTrans OFS also organizes periodic training/coaching on occupational safety and health for the team of safety and hygiene officers, as well as workers according to the groups of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP, training on chemical safety according to Decree 113/2017/ND-CP and fire prevention and fighting training.

And one of the activities that must also be mentioned is that PVTrans OFS has organized and implemented many practical activities with the aim of reviewing the effectiveness of occupational safety and health work, taking care of the material and spiritual life of employees and implementing enhanced measures to overcome inconsistencies and continuously improve the AT-SK-MT management system to ensure safety and the best working conditions for employees. The company is still maintaining the AT-SK-MT goals set for 2023 and meeting the requirements of customers PVEP POC for the FSO DHQ ship project and Idemitsu (IGPV) for the O&M SV CPP project..

In addition, in order to convey the theme of World Environment Day (June 5) and the Month of Action for the Environment in 2023 to employees, the Company also coordinated with the Youth Union to organize many environmental propaganda activities such as: hanging billboards and posters to propagate environmental protection at the office, raising awareness of the Party and State’s policies on environmental protection, classifying waste at source, organizing a campaign to clean up the coast to protect the environment… The activities have received much attention and active participation from employees, contributing to a Green – Clean – Beautiful environment.

Above are the activities that PVTrans OFS organized during the month of Occupational Safety and Hygiene in 2023. Thereby, the activities have brought many benefits, awareness, and enhanced safety work in the working environment. Safety operations have also been improved to prevent accidents, protect health and prevent occupational diseases of employees in particular and promote the development of the Company’s activities in general.
