In May 2023, the Board of Directors of the Oil and Gas Maritime Services Company, in coordination with the Safety and Quality Department, the Company’s Trade Union, the Youth Union, and other relevant departments, organized the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Hygiene (OSH) and Workers’ Month.
The 2023 Action Month on OSH was held under the theme: “Strictly implementing rules, regulations, and solutions to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace.”
Meanwhile, the 2023 Workers’ Month carried the theme: “Connecting workers, building organizations.”

Specifically, in May 2023, PVTrans OFS displayed propaganda banners on the FSO PVN Dai Hung Queen (DHQ), the O&M SV-CPP project, and at the Company’s office to launch and promote the message of the Occupational Safety and Hygiene (OSH) Action Month.
In addition, PVTrans OFS initiated and implemented a safety campaign with the theme “Preventing Eye Injuries” on the DHQ vessel, identifying and addressing numerous potential hazards related to eye safety during the campaign. The initiative received enthusiastic participation from the entire crew, raising awareness of eye protection and providing an opportunity to review safety systems aboard the DHQ vessel, thereby ensuring the safe and efficient operation of onboard activities.

Continuing the activities of the month, PVTrans OFS organized work programs to ensure absolute safety in production during the holidays of April 30 (Reunification Day) and May 1 (International Labor Day). In addition, PVTrans OFS continued to strictly implement daily safety meetings, pre-job safety briefings, and fully complied with the Permit to Work (PTW) process issued by the Company.

PVTrans OFS also organized safety inspections to assess occupational safety and health risks in the workplace, propose appropriate control measures, improve working conditions, and enhance employees’ safety awareness through open discussions and practical activities.

In addition, PVTrans OFS regularly conducts periodic training and coaching sessions on occupational safety and health for the team of safety and hygiene officers as well as for workers, in accordance with Decree No. 44/2016/ND-CP. The Company also organizes chemical safety training in compliance with Decree No. 113/2017/ND-CP, and fire prevention and fighting drills to enhance employees’ readiness and awareness.

One of the notable highlights is that PVTrans OFS has organized and implemented a variety of practical initiatives aimed at reviewing the effectiveness of occupational safety and health (OSH) activities, enhancing employee welfare, and continuously improving the Health–Safety–Environment (HSE) management system. These efforts focus on eliminating inconsistencies, ensuring safety, and creating the best possible working conditions for all employees. The Company continues to maintain its HSE objectives set for 2023, fully meeting the requirements of key clients such as PVEP POC for the FSO PVN Dai Hung Queen (DHQ) project and Idemitsu Gas Production Vietnam (IGPV) for the O&M Sao Vang – Dai Nguyet (SV CPP) project.
In addition, to promote the message of World Environment Day (June 5) and the Month of Action for the Environment 2023, the Company, in collaboration with its Youth Union, organized a series of environmental awareness activities. These included hanging posters and banners to promote environmental protection at the office, raising awareness about the Party and State’s environmental policies, implementing waste classification at source, and organizing coastal cleanup campaigns to protect the marine environment. These activities received enthusiastic participation from employees, contributing to building a Green – Clean – Beautiful working environment.

The above are the key activities organized by PVTrans OFS during the Occupational Safety and Hygiene Action Month 2023. These initiatives have brought significant benefits by raising awareness, enhancing safety practices in the workplace, and improving operational safety to prevent accidents, protect employee health, and reduce occupational diseases. Overall, these efforts have contributed to promoting the sustainable development of the Company’s operations.
